1. Peel Off Nails
The perfect hybrid of nail appliqué and polish. This is a must if you want to look your best when you land. Simply peel off if you’ve made a mistake or if you want to get a mani at your destination.
2. Travel Size Lotion
You want to make sure you’ve got something to keep your face and hands moisturised throughout the flight, as they do tend to get really dry.
Try an all purpose moisturiser like Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream and Kiss My Face’s Lavender Shea Ultra Moisturiser to prevent dryness.
Tip: Have a favourite beauty product that you’d like to take on a flight but it’s too big? Simply dispense the product(s) into a contact lens case(s).
Stay hydrated. This will help fight exhaustion caused by the dry cabin air.
4. Comfortable (but cute) Clothing
Opt for loose fitting clothing, while in flight. Go for a statement jumper, drawstring pants, and a pair of flip flops.
Tip: For extra in flight comfort, wear a jumper that’s 1 size bigger than your real size.
5. Ear Plugs
Foam ear plugs are great for drowning out the in flight sounds, so that you can get some shut eye. Alternatively, try noise-cancelling headphones.
Leave contact lenses in your hand luggage, as they’ll almost indefinitely dry your eyes. Take your readers or spectacles instead.
This is probably the one item you’ll use the most during your trip, so be sure to store it in a protective holder.
Fight boredom by entertaining yourself on your tablet.
Before lift off, stock up on music, movies, podcasts, and books on iStore. Once in flight, place the device into Airplane Mode, sit back, relax, and watch, read, or listen to your purchases.
10. Travel Size Lipgloss
If you can’t find your favourite lippie in a travel friendly size, head over to a cosmetic counter for a sample size lipgloss or lipstick.
11. Concealer Kit
Apply just before you step off the plane. We like the Bobbi Brown concealer kit, but why not make your own using a contact lens case. Dispense liquid or solid concealer on one side, and fill the other side with powder.
12. Sleep Drops
As far as we’re concerned, sleeping pills are compulsory for any long haul flight. But sometimes they don’t do the trick. Try a natural homeopathic sleep tincture to further aid relaxation and sleep.
Jot down your thoughts, to do list, and observations in a well crafted leather notebook. We prefer our notebooks to be of the Smythson and Moleskin variety.
